Summer Camps
Camp Overview
- Summer camps are for children ages 5-8, entering kindergarten through the end of 2nd grade.
- Camps run from end of June through middle of August
Our camps are a sensory experience, designed to enhance and strengthen your child’s interest in the world of science and nature. The natural world is abundant with possibilities for children to explore, discover and investigate, and summertime is a perfect opportunity to explore the outdoors!
We believe that hands-on experiences with nature and the outdoors will help your child to connect to the world in a concrete way and develop a sense of respect for the environment and empathy for all living things. In the process, students will learn more about themselves as well as build positive social relationships with others.
Nature is always changing and a field experience can be completely different from one year to the next, especially the seashores and woods. The Pacific Northwest offers us many opportunities with fascinating places that are exciting and fulfilling to explore!
Each camp is a 3-day experience which includes a field trip and a guest lecturer or two. Transportation is included in the cost of tuition. All your child needs is a smile, a lunch, and an interest in learning new things!
Registration for Summer 2012 camps begins in March, when more details will be available.
